The Details
Drawing inspiration from the medieval times, this rug has lots of character. This rug comes in two colour choices. The darker design anchors a space well and will provide a good foundation to contrast brighter colours such as red.
The lighter design opens up a room well, making a space feel bigger. It's design element is not as obvious compared to its darker counterpart and is a good understated choice.
A Closer Look
After many adjustments, we discovered that a pile height of 14mm is the perfect for this rug. Low pile rugs are easier to clean and more durable. The shorter fibers and loops prevent dust and dirt from digging into the rug. Instead, dirt tends to remain on the surface which can be easily removed with regular vacuuming.
Technique
This rug is 100% Handmade by our experienced rug weavers, creating a beautifully crafted rug which cannot be replicated with machines.
We chose an invisible edge finishing so that the rug would blend in seamlessly with the flooring.
Material
This rug is made of a unique blend of 40-50% Sheeps Wool and 50-60% Polyester. It is common for natural Wool to pill and shed. Hence, we decided to use a mixture of wool and Polyester making this rug a more durable and practical choice.
The rug backing is made of Cotton, woven tightly and densely together.
Rug Maintenance
Vacuum Regularly
Vacuum as needed using the suction attachment only, no bristles required.
Dry Clean Only
Depending on level of use, we recommend dry cleaning your rug annually.
Rotate Rug
Rotate rug every 6 to 12 months. A rug that is never rotated will wear unevenly, with wear and tear in the “high traffic” areas.
Spot Clean
Blot spilled liquids immediately and spot clean with a damp white cloth and a rug cleaning solution. Deep stains require professional cleaning.
Do Not Bleach
Do Not Iron
Not designed to withstand high temperatures.
Do Not Dry Under Direct Sunlight
Direct Sunlight may cause colours to fade. Dry in a shaded area with good airflow.
Cut Loose Yarns
Do not pull on loose yarns.
If necessary, clip them to be even with pile height.
